Netflix has kicked off the New Year with the first teaser trailer for the second season of its adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events” book series. They’ve also set a March 30th premiere date.

Season two plunges further into the epic world of this darkly comedic mystery about the Baudelaire orphans – Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – and their extraordinary encounters with the devious Count Olaf who will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance.

At the same time the young siblings discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death, links to a covert organization, and begin to unlock long-held family secrets. The new season adapts the fifth through ninth books of the thirteen book series across ten one-hour episodes.

Lucy Punch, Nathan Fillion, Tony Hale, Sara Rue and Roger Bart join the cast in guest roles in the show which has already been renewed for a third and final season to air in 2019.
