The Detroit Symphony Orchestra presents its 40th annual Classical Roots concert, celebrating African-American contributions to classical music, at 10:45 a.m. Friday and 8 p.m. Saturday, March 2-3, at Orchestra Hall, 3711 Woodward Ave., Detroit. This year's event honors tenor George Shirley and Andrew W.
