EAST LANSING >> After a three-year absence, Southfield Christian once again has claimed the MHSAA Class D state championship boys basketball title.

The Eagles flew out to a hot start, then foul trouble caught up with them. Still they led from the get-go and defeated Buckley, 64-54, in the Class D title game at Michigan State's Breslin Center on Saturday morning.
