As a young girl growing up in Oklahoma City, Darci Lynne Farmer figured out like all young girls what she liked and what she didn't. She knew she liked to sing, but her shyness was holding her back.

Her parents encouraged her to participate in the International Cinderella Scholarship Program to overcome her shyness, and she was crowned International Mini Miss.
