PONTIAC >> Under glorious sunshine, Fr. Leon Olszamowski blessed softball and baseball bats, along with home plates at the sparkling new baseball and softball fields at Pontiac Notre Dame Prep on Thursday.
The Bless the Bats ceremony was a first for the priest, but he handled it flawlessly with authority from above.
