Oakland County drivers will have fewer construction barrels to dodge this Memorial Day Weekend.

The Road Commission for Oakland County will suspend work on most of its projects from 3 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Tuesday.

"The Road Commission wants to ensure that its roads are as free of obstructions as possible during this period because of the increased traffic we typically see on a holiday," said Dennis Kolar, road commission managing director.
