Chris Hardwick will once again host AMC’s The Walking Dead after show The Talking Dead and his other talk show Talking with Chris Hardwick after he was suspended from the project following allegations of sexual misconduct from his ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra. He will resume hosting duties on August 12th.
In a statement, AMC said that it conducted a “comprehensive assessment,” and that it believes “returning Chris to work is the appropriate step.”
In June, Dykstra published a post to Medium that detailed allegations of abuse at the hands of an ex-boyfriend, which was widely assumed to be Hardwick. Following the publication of the blog post, AMC suspended Hardwick from both shows and his slots as moderator at San Diego Comic-Con while it conducted an investigation. AMC brought in Community star Yvette Nicole Brown to moderate The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead panels at SDCC and indicated that she would step in to replace him on The Talking Dead as well.
