Big data has given social science a new, hard edge. Julia Hobsbawn went to the second Social Science Foo Camp, held earlier this year at Facebook's headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., to find out what that means for business and leadership. Studies about termites, human dating patterns, and how risk-averse people feel on different days of the week show the possibilities for crossover insights between business and social science.
