UPDATE 2-Two U.S. service members killed in AfghanistanTwo U.S. service members were killed in Afghanistan on Wednesday, the NATO-led Resolute Support mission said in a statement. A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the service members had been killed from gunshot wounds sustained during a joint patrol with Afghan security forces. The latest fatalities bring the tally of U.S. service member deaths in Afghanistan to at least six in 2019 and at least 65 U.S. military deaths since January 2015, according to U.S. government and NATO reports.
