Brown's Root Beer and Sandwich Shop of downtown South Lyon has been gone for more than a year. It closed in October 2016, after 56 years in business. In its place, at the corner of S. Lafayette, (Pontiac Trail) and McHattie Street, a new eatery has opened- A Good Day Caf#xe9;.
The new restaurant serves healthy, all natural foods, along with deli favorites, at breakfast and lunch time.
